Frequently asked questions

I purchased an Allstate Protection Plan. What happens next?
Anticipate a welcome email from Allstate Protection Plans after your item ships. Your plan will be automatically registered with Allstate once the item ships, so no registration is required to activate your plan.

What does the Allstate Protection Plan cover?
Standard Protection Plans cover device issues resulting from product failures, breakdowns, hardware malfunctions and defects. (Lighting and hardware are covered by Standard Protection).

Accident Protection Plans include everything mentioned in the Standard Protection Plans above and also cover product damage as a result of accidents. (Furniture, rugs and mattress protectors have Accident Protection)

For more detailed information, refer to our Digital Brochure.

What does the Allstate Protection Plan not cover?
Loss, theft, intentional damage, damage caused by neglect, misuse, weather events, sun-bleaching damage caused by the application of topical treatments (e.g., fabric cleaner), stains built up over time and recurring damage (e.g., the cat repeatedly scratches the back of the sofa or the dog has a favorite spot to potty) are not covered. For more detailed information, refer to our Terms & Conditions at www.allstateprotectionplans.com/terms

When does the Allstate Protection Plan start?
Allstate’s protection starts after your item arrives to your home. Please allow up to 2 weeks post-shipping to receive e-mail confirmation of your protection plan. Your protection plan is auto-registered so there’s no need to activate your plan.

Can I add a protection plan on an item I already purchased from West Elm?
No. The protection plan must be purchased at the same time as the eligible item.

Do I need to register my Allstate Protection Plan for it to be active?
Registration is not required for the plan to be active, but a receipt is required to file a claim. Registering can help save time if you need to file a claim in the future. Customers can register anytime at www.allstateprotectionplans.com/westelm

What information do I need to provide in order to file a claim?
The fastest way to file a claim is online at www.allstateprotectionplans/westelm. You will be required to (1) create an online account or log into your existing account if you’ve already registered your plan, (2) upload an image of your receipt showing the item and protection plan and (3) provide information about the incident. Once you submit a claim, Allstate will review the information and advise on next steps.

My West Elm order has been canceled. Will the Allstate Protection Plan also be canceled?
If your West Elm order is canceled before the item ships, your plan will be automatically canceled and refunded by West Elm. However, if your order is canceled after the item ships, please reach out to Allstate to cancel your plan and receive a refund.

Please note: If West Elm creates a replacement order for your item, the protection plan will automatically transfer to the new item and the old plan will be canceled.

How do I cancel my protection plan?
Protection plans can be canceled for a full refund within 30 days of plan purchase or canceled for a prorated refund after that through the end of the protection plan term. All cancellations are managed by Allstate Protection Plans. Please visit www.allstateprotectionplans.com/westelm or call 1-877-WARRANTY.
